The Mohawks welcomed sectional and county foe Shelbyville to the home courts on Monday Night. They were looking to prove they were still the team to beat in Shelby County. The district ranked #4 Mohawks prevailed 4-1 over the #8 ranked Golden Bears to improve to 3-1 on young season. #1 singles Charlie Fischer remained unbeaten with a 6-1 , 6-1 rout of Kashton Laycock. #2 singles Lincoln Fischer suffered the only setback with a tough 7-5, 5-7, 9-11 defeat to Bram Kolkmeier. #3 singles Noah Leap continue his strong freshman campaign with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kody Sellers. #1 doubles Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer started off slowly going down 3-0 early, but rolled 6-4, 6-2 over Jack Van Wye and Cooper Reed. #2 doubles Owen Hartman and Kevin Crouch had tons of energy in dominating 6-2, 6-2 over Grant Tackett and Owen Shively. JV ACTION Waldron 4, Shelbyville 2 Tad Crosby was impressive in his 8-3 win over Mason Miano. Tanner Cockerham lost 8-1 to Lane Haehl. Max Taylor lost 8-6 to Wyatt Sharp Trent Allen and Luke Thomas won 8-6 over Henry Rife and Graham Breedlove. Trent Allen and Luke Thomas also won 6-2 Kodui Ishii and Connor Clarr Tad Crosby and Tanner Cockerham teamed up for 6-2 win. Great night to be a Mohawk! Thanks !
