IHSAA Moratorium: June 29 - July 12

By Tommy Coy | Jun 24, 2026 11:33 AM

Mohawk Nation: The IHSAA-mandated moratorium weeks are approaching. I wanted to send out a reminder about the designated weeks during which Waldron will observe a moratorium on all sports and activities on campus. Week 1: Monday June 29th to Sunday July 5th Week 2: Monday July 6th to Sunday July 12th (All normal activities may resume on Monday July 13th) During this time frame, the following things will be expected: *No organized practices run by any coach in your program. *No conditioning, open weights, open gyms, or anything where the campus, gym, or weight room is open to athletes is permitted. *No contact can be made with athletes who are sports or athletics related. All workouts, communications, or anything needs to be done BEFORE the moratorium weeks. They can train or do workouts, but MUST BE DONE ON THEIR OWN, IN THEIR OWN SPACE & TIME. *The campus will be "closed" during these two weeks for athletic purposes. There is a LOT of work underway here right now, so it is best for student-athletes to stay off campus during this time. It is important to use this time to relax, reenergize, enjoy time with family, and BE KIDS! Please reach out with any questions!!! Have a FANTASTIC 2 weeks away from athletics! ~Mr. Coy
