The Mohawks hit the road to start the final week of the season with a match against Batesville. The competition was great tonight, and all of our JV girls were able to play a singles match. The Mohawks started off with an early 2-0 lead, as 3 Singles, Evan England, and 1 Doubles, Alexis Messmore and Jenna Strehle, won their matches quickly. Then 2 Doubles, Brooklyn Thomas and Vivian Kuhn, and 2 Singles, Gracie Walker lost their matches to even the team score to 2-2. 1 Singles, Caroline Kuhn, battled through her match after gaining an early lead. She showed her mental strength in winning a crucial game to turn the tide 7-6 in her favor. She ended the next game with an strong serve to finish the match and claim a victory for the Mohawks.
