The Lady Mohawks tennis team ended a four game losing streak with a nice 3-2 win over a tough Batesville team. The win improves them to 8-5 on the season. #1 singles Riley Thurston fought through the second set to win 6-1, 6-4 over Grace Gutzwiller (11). #1 doubles Emerson Lindsey and Jackie Corlett improved to 13-0 with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) win over Ava Walsman(12) and Maddie Haskamp (11). #2 doubles new pairing of Malia Murphy and Hannah Rouse dominated 6-1, 6-1 over Addie Reding and Ellie Westerfeld. #2 singles Ava Leising fall in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 to Adalynn Fledderman. #3 singles Leah Kuhn fought hard in second set but came up short 6-2, 6-4 to Aurora Mertz. JV Action Taylor Stewart and Madeline Walker won 6-5 ( 7-1) over Miki Gutzwiller and Lyla Struewing. Kate Kuhn lsot a tough tiebreaker 8-7 ( 7-2) to Brynlie Oesterling. The ladies have a quick turnaround with county tourney at 9am Saturday morning! Go Mohawks!
