The Lady Mohawks came out ready to compete tonight against the Lady Golden Bears. Early in the first half, they found good looks offensively and worked to create scoring opportunities through solid ball movement and energy on the defensive end. At halftime the score was tied at 26-26. The Lady Mohawks were looking to come out and compete in the third quarter. In the second half, the Lady Mohawks continued to battle, showing resilience and effort on both ends of the floor. There were moments of strong defensive rotations, hustle plays, and confident shooting that showed their growth and determination. Grace Fischer led the way offensively with 14 points, while Emerson Lindsay added 10 points. Riley Thurston, Brooklyn Milbourn, Jackie Corlett contributed 4 points, while Kassidy Meulen pitched in 3 points, and Kate Kuhn finished with 2 points. Multiple players contributed with energy and effort against the Lady Golden Bears, and the bench mafia brought great support all night long. Despite a strong effort, Shelbyville's size and execution allowed them to pull away in the fourth quarter. While the final score didn't fall in favor of the Lady Mohawks, the heart, grit, and togetherness this team continues to show makes our whole community proud. They will take the lessons from this game and get back to work as they prepare for Brown County. The season is young, and they are continuing to grow stronger in all aspects. In two JV quarters, the Lady Mohawks came up short against the Lady Golden Bears. We are proud of their effort and determination to not quit! The Lady Mohawks will next be in action on Tuesday, November 18th against Brown County.
