The Lady Mohawks opened their season with an impressive 56–27 win over Indianapolis Lutheran, showing grit, energy, and teamwork from start to finish. Waldron set the tone early with strong defensive pressure and unselfish ball movement, leading to balanced scoring and confident play across the board. Grace Fischer led the way with 28 points, dominating inside and finishing tough plays around the rim. Brooklyn Milbourn added 11 points and brought steady consistency and intensity on both ends of the floor. Jackie Corlett chipped in 7 points, Riley Thurston contributed 4 points while Emerson Lindsay, Kassidy Meulen, and Kendal Berauer provided key contributions on offense with 2 points each! As a team, we locked in defensively and used that energy to keep the momentum rolling! Our bench mafia was outstanding tonight, bringing all the energy and keeping the team fired up from start to finish. More importantly, the Mohawks are beginning to find their rhythm as a team learning how to play hard, stay connected, and trust each other on every possession. This group is figuring out what it means to go #ALLIN to play with heart, compete together, and win together. For her composure, effort, and consistency, Brooklyn Milbourn was named the Game Changer of the night. Her example set the tone for what it means to be a true Mohawk. In the two JV quarters, the Lady Mohawks dominated and won the two quarters of action against the Lady Saints. The Lady Mohawks will next be in action on Tuesday night in Shelbyville as they will take on the Lady Golden Bears. JV will play two quarters starting at 6:00 PM with the varsity contest to follow.
