Boys Soccer took the victory over Gibson Southern today to become sectional champions. The Alices took a 1-0 victory but maintained control through the majority of the game. The Alices came out strong and possessed the ball well and created many opportunities. The Alices put up 21 shots but didn’t break through until the 46th minute. Sophomore, Jude Clark, squared up near the 18 yard box in the six minutes into the second half. The Alices would create more chance more chance as the half continued on and dominated defensively. The back line of Carson Heiden, Cannon McCallister, Grant Richardville, and Daniel Henderson played incredibly well and dominated any Gibson Southern attack. Goalkeeper, Paxton Smith, ended the day with 5 saves. The Man of the Match award went to Jude Clark. Jude scored his first goal of the season today, and what a time to do so. Jude also impressed physically and defended well centrally. The Alices move on to take on Heritage Hills at home in the regional semifinal on Wednesday night, September 15.
