Boys Soccer Closes Out Regular Season with Big Win

The boys of Alice Soccer close the regular season with a statement when tonight at home against e Eastern Greene. The final score was 10–1 in favor of the Alices. The scoring opened early for Lincoln with a goal from Gera Silva in the second minute off of a Lucas Klingler assist. The second goal would come in the eighth minute on an Ian Lancaster goal off of an assist from Gera Silva. Claudson Thomas would add a goal in the twelfth minute unassisted. Gera Silva would add his second and third goals in the fifteenth and and twenty-fifth minutes, off of assists from Ian Lancaster and John Martin Beam. David Ramirez would add a goal in the twenty-seventh minute off of an assist from senior, Jonah Turpin. Senior, Cannon McCallister would add a goal by finishing a well served free kick by David Ramirez. Ramirez would then score in the thirty-ninth minute to close out the half and lead us into halftime up 8-1. Senior, Morgan Horst, would add a goal in the fifty-eighth minute off an assist by Senior, Paxton Smith. The mercy rule would be closed out with a final goal by Ian Lancaster in the fifty-ninth minute. Paxton Smith, Grant Richardville, Lukas Lang, Lucas Klingler, Jonah Turpin, Bryce Quinett, Jude Clark, Jean Josaphat, Calvin Doggett, and Paxton Smith were also credited with shots on goal. Paxton Smith and Landon Telligman each ended the night with a save each in goal. The Man of the Match award went to Gera Silva for securing a hat trick and an assist all within the first 25 minutes of play. The Alices have a JV game on Friday against Rivet but are looking toward next week’s sectional matchup against Pike Central.
