Boys varsity drops tight match @ Castle; JV wins

Tonight was a tight match at spots. Piper/Hahn definitely could have pulled out the win, but it would have been tough to turn around one of the other 3 matches we dropped to pick up the win. Castle is very solid, and I’m happy we competed with them. I thought Carter Johnson did a great job of fighting back in the 2nd set to force a 3rd and pull out a gritty win. Our JV played really well tonight too, especially Jaxson and Braylen. They have become more consistent and aggressive at net and I expect them to be key contributors in the coming years. Brady Allen has also improved his consistency and his power. I was happy to see the JV get the win again tonight. We hope to get the varsity back on track on senior night this Thursday.
