Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices Breeze Past Loogootee Varsity Lions By GameChanger Media Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices won big over Loogootee Varsity Lions 15-5 on Friday. Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brody Phillips doubled, scoring two runs, and Daniel Henderson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Tanner Phillips homered to left field, which helped Loogootee Varsity Lions tie the game at three in the bottom of the first. Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 10-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Luke Hall that drove in two. Landon Bowling hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the second for the Loogootee Varsity Lions. Four more Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 14-4. Brady Anderson homered to right field, scoring two runs, Henderson laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Landon Johnson laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. Johnson earned the win for Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and five runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking five. Phillips led things off on the bump for Loogootee Varsity Lions. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four. William Burgess tossed one and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball for Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices in relief. The pitcher gave up two hits, striking out two and walking none. Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices tallied 12 hits in the game. Anderson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Cooper Collins, Anderson, and Hall each collected two hits for Vincennes Lincoln Varsity Alices.
