Lauren Story was Alices high-finisher, taking second place in the long jump (15-4.75), at the SIAC meet Tuesday night. In his first season doing track, Lauren immediately stood out as a competitive sprinter and long-jumper. She has a great work ethic and attitude, which has shown in her improvements over the season. We are paying attention to a sore leg in our final preparations for sectionals. Kaitlyn Johnson ran a 16-second PR for a 5th place finish in the mile (5:41). She has come out all season putting in the work, and I'm happy for her peaking here at the end of the season. This is the time when all the training and 4-event meet days really pays off. Alivia Eaton had a 5th place finish in the discus, despite it not being a top day for her. She has her sights on sectional and will be making adjustments to get the throws she'll need for another regional opportunity next week. Other top finishers: Lauren Story - 7th in 100; 8th in 200
