Tough one as the Lady Falcons 7th grade team took a conference loss Tuesday night against Knox. Defensively, we just weren’t where we needed to be. We had too many breakdowns — missed assignments, late closeouts, and not enough communication. When you give up easy looks and second-chance opportunities, it puts a lot of pressure on the offense. Defense has to be our identity, and tonight it wasn’t. On the offensive end, we moved the ball well at times and created good opportunities, but we didn’t finish. We missed too many easy buckets around the rim and left points at the free-throw line. In close games, those are the shots that come back to hurt you. Credit to our opponent — they capitalized on our mistakes and made the plays down the stretch. For us, it’s about learning from this one, tightening up defensively, and finishing strong at the basket. We’ll get back in the gym, clean it up, and be ready for the next one.
