The Boys and Girls track teams traveled through the detours of Richmond to get to Liberty on Tuesday for the Union County Tri meet with Union County and Seton Catholic. For the second meet in a row both teams battled the wind but were able to have some of the best performances of the season. In the girls meet Maegan Dickmann, Campbell Kerns and Camille Helmick started things off in the 100mh placing 2nd, 4th and 5th. Ava Jefferis followed with a new PR in the 1600 finishing 4th with a time of 6:35.15. Campbell Kerns also placed 4th in long jump for the Indians. PR's for the girls meet were as follows: Ava Jefferis In the boys meet they did everything they could to secure a win with Landen Dickmann once again stepping up and doing high jump and placing 2nd while also placing first in the 110mh and 2nd in the 300mh. Bradin Daniels had a big night as well for the Indians placing first in the 800m then helping the 4x800, 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams finish first. Alec Spence also had a good night placing first in the 400, 200 and helping the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams finish first. Josiah Bowers dropped 13 seconds in the 1600 to set a new PR and placed 5th with a time of 6:07.25 Keian Brockman had his best throw of the year in Discus and was able to get a 10 feet PR and a 4th place finish. The Indians are back in action Friday night at Northeastern for the Knight Invite with field events starting at 5:30 and running starting at 6:00.
