The Indian track teams traveled to Randolph Southern on Tuesday for a meet against Southern, Wes-Del and Winchester and the boys finished with a 2nd place to Winchester while the girls were able to place in the top 3 in all of the events that they competed in. The Indian boys were without Bradin Daniels and Keian Brockman during the meet and that proved to be enough for the Indians to lose a close one by 16 points. Jayson Connor finished second in the 110mh after tripping towards the finish line but in doing so he ran a new PR finishing with a time of 15.79. Jayson is inching closer to the 110mh record of 14.8 set in 1982 by Shon Prescott! Jackson Cowper placed first in the long jump with a jump of 18'6 just missing his PR. Colton Emrick ran the 400m for the first time and finished with a 1st place finish. After being sore and tired all night the 4x4 team of Alec Spence, Jackson Cowper, Jayson Connor and Conner Walser were able to cruise and finished 1st for the Indians. Maegan Dickmann, Camille Helmick and Campbell Kerns got the meet started in the 100mh placing 3rd, 5th and 6th for the Indians. Maegan and Camille also ran solid races in the 300mh finishing 4th and 5th as both girls were taking on one of the best hurdlers in the state. Ava Jefferis was battling illness during the meet but ran a new PR in the 1600 and a 2nd place finish then turned around and placed 3rd in the 800m. Campbell Kerns leaped to a second place finish in long jump after struggling last meet.
