Union City Indians Defeats Wes-Del

In a thrilling six-inning comeback, the Union City Indians baseball team emerged victorious against Wes-Del, securing a 9-6 win. Curry commenced the game on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings and striking out two batters while allowing five walks. In relief Huggins pitched 3.1 innings, effectively neutralizing the opposing team's threat by striking out six batters and allowing only one walk. At the plate for the Indians Asa Vaughn and Joseangel Perez-contrerras each collected two hits for Union City Varsity Indians. Asa Vaughn and Trendon Spence each drove in two runs for Union City. Thomas, Emrick, Curry, Spence, Huggins, and Connor, as a team had 10 walks. Braden Huggins collected his first career win! Each day, these young athletes exert themselves diligently in pursuit of their ultimate goals by the season's conclusion. Coach Jeff Wendel in his inaugural season as the Union City Indians Varsity baseball head coach, is demonstrating exceptional leadership. The Indians will be next in action on April 25 at home against Union Country at 5;00 PM a TEC conference matchup.
