The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams hosted the Coach Noffsinger Memorial Invitational on Saturday and with the local support and cool temperatures ran their best races of the season! Ava Jefferis running her last regular season meet on the home course lead the way finishing 7th with a time of 22:37. Since her freshman year Jefferis has taken 3:10 off of her time for the home course. Kara Walser was the next Indian to cross the finish line for the Indians. Walser just missed placing in the top 25 as she finished 26th with a new personal best time of 30:50. Campbell Kerns has been battling an illness over the last week was able to run her second best race of the season. Kerns placed 27th for the Indians with a time of 31:08. In the Boys race it was Jackson Liss representing the Indians and he represented the team well. Liss has improved each meet and he did that again on Saturday placing 53rd with a time of 26:36. Jackson has taken over 5 minutes off of his time since the beginning of the season! We want to thank everyone that came out to help and support the teams on Saturday. Without the volunteers and spectators none of it is possible. Coach Noff was a one of a kind Coach that was able to get the best out of every athlete he coached while also treating every kid like they were his own. Coach Noff Cross Country Stats: Coached 38 teams Career record 325-50 The Indians are back in action on Tuesday at Jay County then again Saturday morning at Randolph Southern
