The JH Boys track team accomplished something for Union City that hasn’t been done in 14 Years! A County Championship. Back in 2009-2010 current Head Coach Mason Wine was a 7th grader. He was apart of the last Union City JH track team to win a County Championship. To help lead a team back to the success that I achieved as an athlete is a true honor. The boys team competed with 9 athletes today, each of them doing multiple events. They embraced the challenge and I am very proud of how they competed today. They all had a similar goal in mind and did want needed to be done to achieve that goal. Their success this season is far greater than a trophy. They have overcame mental adversity, teammate hardships, and confidence issues. Each and every one of them is a better student athlete than when they started the season.
