The Indian Cross Country teams traveled to Centerville on Saturday for the Centerville Invitational and after it was all finished Ava Jefferis ran a new season best once again while Scott O'Connor and Conner Walser ran new personal records. In the Boys race Conner Walser lead from the start with the rest of the Indians not far behind. Walser continued to build his lead through each mile until he was able to cross the finish line with a first place finish with a new personal record time of 17:10. Conner beat his previous best time of 17:27. Levi Clark was the next Indian to cross the finish line as he placed 17th with a time of 20:23 and his third best time of the season. Conner Cline also ran his third best time of the season as he was able to place in the top 20 after battling all day against some runners that we had not seen much of this season. Cline cross the line in 20th with a time of 21:28. Scott O'Connor ran a new personal best and 27th place finish as he was once again able to place well enough to receive an award. Scotty was able to take 48 seconds off of his previous best time. In the girls race Ava Jefferis once again showed why she's one of the top runners in the county as she placed 6th with a new season best time of 22:20. Jefferis took 33 seconds off of her previous best of the season and is now just nine seconds away from her personal best! The Indians have a ten day break but will be back on September 26th as they run with the secret weapon at Winchester for the Randolph County meet. Boys will kick things off beginning at 6:00.
