Saturday morning the Indians Cross Country teams traveled to Monroe Central for the Meister Family Memorial Run and continued their hot start with perfect weather from the start. The boys got the day started and were fast from the start of the gun with three of the four runners running season best times or personal best times. Conner Walser lead the Indians from the start with his best race of the season and just just seven seconds from his PR. Walser showed that he will be tough to beat during the county meet as he was the top finishing Randolph County runner finishing 5th with a time of 17:34. Levi Clark continued to have a great start to the season finishing 50th place with a time of 20:59 and one of four Randolph County Freshman in the top 50. Levi had a great start to the race before getting sick mid race and ran his way back. Conner Cline ran his best race of the season taking forty-five seconds off of his time from Tuesdays meet and over a minute off of his time from last years meet. Cline finished 58th place with a time of 21:39. Scott O'Connor once again ran a new PR taking 29 seconds off of his time from Tuesday on a course that he had never run on. Scott crossed the finish line in 76th place with a time of 23:21. In the girls race Ava Jefferis continued her great season as she ran in the top 20 through the race and was once again able to run her season best time and crossing the finish line in 17th place with a time of 23:55. Jefferis finished the meet two minutes faster than she did last season. The teams this season have been putting in a lot of hard work and it continues to show. Both teams will be back in action on August 23rd at Pendleton Heights for the Arabian Roundup beginning at 6:00
