BOURBON — Triton fell to Pioneer 66-7 Friday night at the Trojan Tundra. Pioneer scored four touchdowns in the opening quarter to build a 28-0 advantage. The Panthers added four more touchdowns and a safety during a 30-point second quarter to take a 58-0 lead into halftime. Senior Shiloh Rine led Pioneer’s rushing attack with 186 yards and four touchdowns on six carries. He scored on runs of 14, eight, 43 and 87 yards. Junior Phillip McFatridge rushed five times for 113 yards and two touchdowns, scoring from 10 and 52 yards. He also converted seven extra points. Freshman quarterback Colton Popejoy completed 8 of 10 passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Blu Rosen-Jacks caught an 18-yard touchdown pass, while sophomore Adric Lee added a four-yard scoring reception. Triton put together an 11-play, 55-yard scoring drive during the third quarter. Senior Ryder Gayheart completed the possession with a three-yard touchdown run, and junior Blake Ousley converted the extra point. Gayheart led Triton with 47 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Senior Cayden Bradley added 18 yards on five attempts, while junior Lukas Nicely rushed for 14 yards on three carries. Bradley completed 6 of 13 passes for 48 yards. Nicely led the receiving corps with three catches for 27 yards. Gayheart caught two passes for 16 yards, and Ousley added a five-yard reception. Senior Christian McIntosh led the Triton defense with four tackles. Junior Logan Collins, junior Noah Mondy, Nicely, Gayheart and freshman Channing Heckaman each recorded three tackles. Nicely punted four times for 141 yards, averaging 35.3 yards per attempt. His longest punt traveled 49 yards, and one landed inside Pioneer’s 20-yard line. Pioneer finished with 543 yards of offense, including 426 rushing yards. Triton recorded 127 total yards.
