🏈 Trojans Fall to North Judson, 42-7

BOURBON — Triton fell to North Judson-San Pierre 42-7 Friday night at the Trojan Tundra. North Judson scored once in the opening quarter before adding three touchdowns in the second to build a 28-0 halftime advantage. The Blue Jays scored twice more in the third quarter to extend their lead to 42-0. Triton broke through in the fourth quarter when senior Cayden Bradley connected with junior Lukas Nicely for a 49-yard touchdown. Junior Blake Ousley converted the extra point to complete the scoring. The Trojans finished with 131 yards of offense, including 82 yards on the ground. Senior Ryder Gayheart led Triton with 67 yards on 20 carries, while Bradley added 21 yards on six attempts. Bradley completed his only passing attempt for the 49-yard touchdown. Nicely recorded the reception. North Judson accumulated 394 yards of offense, including 284 rushing yards. Junior Aiden McGowen led the Blue Jays with 108 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. He also caught two passes for 85 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown. Senior Javen Christensen rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown while completing 4 of 6 passes for 110 yards and another score. Senior Alexander Kajer and senior Aidan Christensen accounted for North Judson’s other rushing touchdowns. Nicely and senior Christian McIntosh led the Triton defense with eight tackles apiece. Junior Logan Collins added seven tackles and intercepted a pass, while senior Ashton Jacobs finished with five tackles. Nicely also punted four times for 162 yards, averaging 40.5 yards per attempt. His longest punt traveled 53 yards, and one landed inside the North Judson 20-yard line.
