BOURBON — The Triton varsity volleyball team continued its impressive run Wednesday night, defeating LaVille in straight sets, 25-12, 25-19, 25-18. The victory was Triton’s fifth consecutive win, with each coming in three sets. The Lady Trojans established control with a dominant 25-12 victory in the opening set. Triton maintained its momentum throughout the remainder of the match, taking the second set 25-19 and the third 25-18 to complete the sweep. Freshman Avery Wright led Triton’s attack with eight kills. Senior Hosannah Chupp added seven kills, while junior Savannah Hawley contributed six. Sophomore Analeigh Na delivered another strong all-around performance, finishing with 20 assists, nine aces and nine digs. Senior Lydia Hammond led the Lady Trojan defense with 10 digs and added two aces. Junior Sophie Howell collected six digs, seven assists and two aces, while senior Jillian Bules also served two aces. Hawley recorded Triton’s lone block in the victory. The Triton junior varsity team completed the successful evening by sweeping LaVille, 25-18, 25-15.
