DENVER - The Big Blue Slam earned its second consecutive straight-set conference victory Tuesday night, defeating North Miami 25-23, 25-12, 25-16. The Lady Trojans fought through a competitive opening set and held off the Warriors for a 25-23 victory. Triton then took control of the match, winning the second set 25-12 and the third 25-16 to complete the sweep. Sophomore Analeigh Na delivered an outstanding all-around performance with team highs of 12 kills, 28 assists and four aces. She also recorded 11 digs and tied for the team lead with four blocks. Freshman Avery Wright contributed seven kills, while senior Hosannah Chupp added five. Junior Sophie Howell anchored Triton’s defense with a team-high 18 digs and contributed seven assists. Senior Lydia Hammond collected 15 digs, followed by Na with 11. Junior Savannah Hawley joined Na in controlling the net with four blocks and added two aces from the service line. The Triton junior varsity team also swept North Miami, winning 25-16, 25-18.
