BOURBON - The Triton varsity volleyball team battled back after a difficult opening set but fell to Rochester in four sets Monday night, 9-25, 25-21, 20-25, 21-25. Rochester controlled the opening set, 25-9, before the Lady Trojans answered with a 25-21 victory in the second to even the match. Triton remained within striking distance throughout the final two sets, but Rochester secured 25-20 and 25-21 wins to close out the match. Senior Hosannah Chupp led Triton’s attack with 10 kills. Freshman Avery Wright added eight kills, while sophomore Analeigh Na finished with six. Junior Savannah Hawley led the Lady Trojans defensively with 23 digs and three blocks. Senior Lydia Hammond followed with 22 digs, while Na collected 16. Na also directed Triton’s offense with 27 assists. Hammond contributed five assists, and junior Sophia Howell added three. From the service line, Na recorded a team-high two aces. Chupp and Hawley each served one. Sophomore Adylyn Stichter and Na each contributed one block.
