COLUMBIA CITY - The Triton boys golf team closed out its season Monday at the 2026 IHSAA Boys Golf Sectional at Eagle Glen Golf Course. The Trojans finished ninth in the team standings with a score of 378, just one stroke behind Northfield for eighth place. Gavin Riffle led Triton with an 88. Landon Patrick followed with a 96, while Owen Waymouth and Charlie Worsham each carded a 97. Darrin King rounded out the Trojan lineup with a 98. Warsaw won the sectional championship with a 305. Plymouth finished second with a 309, and Culver Academies placed third with a 321. Those three teams advance to the regional. Culver Academies’ Will Miller earned medalist honors with an even-par 72, winning a playoff over Plymouth’s Dan Nguyen, who also shot 72. Warsaw’s Isaac Summers finished third overall with a 75. The individual regional qualifiers from non-advancing teams were Wawasee’s Preston Scherer with a 78, Huntington North’s James Wiley with an 81, and Wawasee’s Hudson Cripe with an 82. Cripe earned the final individual advancing spot in a playoff.
