SOUTH BEND — Triton turned a late deficit into a memorable finish Monday night at Four Winds Field, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat LaVille 10-9. The Trojans held a 6-2 lead entering the seventh, but LaVille erupted for seven runs in the top half of the inning to move in front 9-6. Triton answered in the home half, pushing across four runs to claim the walk-off victory. Triton built an early lead with single runs in each of the first three innings, then added two more in the fifth and one in the sixth. LaVille stayed close before its big seventh-inning rally, but the Trojans found one final answer to finish off the win. Max Johnson helped lead Triton at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Levi McFarland went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Blake Ousley finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Trey Tarlton added two hits, a run and an RBI. Maddox Dennie, Brayden Gunnels and Braxton Kaufman each drove in a run, while Drew Bingamon scored twice, drove in one run and stole three bases. Bingamon started on the mound and worked 6.1 innings, allowing four runs, two earned, on 11 hits while striking out five and walking none. Jadyn Prater and Ousley handled the seventh, with Ousley earning the win in relief. LaVille was led by Andre Gonzales and Kyler Christy. Gonzales went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI, while Christy finished 3-for-3 with a double and two runs. Lucas Underwood added two hits, a run and an RBI, and Braedyn Foster went 2-for-3 with a run.
