LAPORTE — The Triton boys golf team competed in the 90th Annual Uebele Invitational on Friday, May 15, at Beechwood Golf Course, finishing 19th in a strong 24-team field. The 18-hole tournament was played in breezy and cool conditions. The Trojans finished with a team score of 383. Landon Patrick led Triton with a 96, shooting 48 on the front nine and 48 on the back nine. Gavin Riffle followed with Triton’s low round of the day, carding an 88 after rounds of 46 and 42. Owen Waymouth added a 99, while Darrin King finished with a 100. Charlie Worsham rounded out the lineup with a 111. Lake Central won the invitational with a team score of 303. Northridge placed second with a 312, followed by Warsaw with a 316 and Penn with a 317. South Bend St. Joe and Valparaiso both finished at 326, with St. Joe taking fifth and Valparaiso sixth.
