CULVER — Triton turned in a strong all-around performance at the 2026 Hoosier North Athletic Conference Middle School Track Meet on Monday, May 11, at Culver Community, highlighted by a share of the girls conference championship and a third-place finish by the boys team. The Lady Trojans finished tied with North Judson for the girls team title, as both schools scored 129 points. Triton used a balanced effort across running events, relays and field events to climb to the top of the conference standings. Winamac finished third with 72.5 points, followed by Pioneer with 55 and Culver Community with 54. Ava Harman had a big night for Triton, winning both the 200 meters and the high jump. Harman crossed the line first in the 200 in 28.44 seconds, then added a conference championship in the high jump with a mark of 4 feet, 6 inches. She also helped Triton win the 4x400 relay, joining Addysin Stuart, Charlotte Jacobs and Cayci Kilgore for a first-place time of 4:46.30. Stuart added another conference championship for the Lady Trojans in the 1600 meters, winning the race in 6:09.00. Macy Olesen tied for first in the pole vault at 5 feet, 6 inches, while Avery Wright won the discus with a throw of 77 feet, 1 1/2 inches. Triton also picked up key points from Delanie Rauch, who was second in the 100 hurdles and sixth in the 100 meters, Aimee-Grace Overmyer, who was second in the long jump and eighth in the 100, and Isla Chapman, who placed third in the high jump. The Lady Trojans’ depth helped them keep pace with North Judson throughout the meet and finish as HNAC co-champions. On the boys side, Triton scored 96 points to finish third behind Winamac, which won the team title with 122 points, and North Judson, which finished second with 121.5. The Trojans had three event championships on the boys side. Roin Gayheart won the 400 meters in 1:00.63, Channing Heckaman won the long jump with a mark of 17 feet, 3 inches, and Triton’s 4x400 relay team of Jackson Richie, Gayheart, Julian Leon and Lynken Fear won in 4:08.67. Heckaman also finished second in the 100 meters and third in the pole vault. Jackson Richie added a runner-up finish in the 400, while Jackson Richey was third in the 110 hurdles. Triton’s 4x100 relay team of Gayheart, Gavin Hoffer, Heckaman and Chase Collins finished second in 51.96 seconds.
