BOURBON — Triton’s pitching staff delivered another statement Friday night, as Levi McFarland and Jadyn Prater combined to no-hit Oregon-Davis in a 14-0, five-inning win over the Bobcats. The win marked Triton’s second straight no-hitter in as many days, following Thursday’s no-hit effort from Drew Bingamon and Owen Holbrook. The back-to-back performances gave the Trojans a rare and impressive pitching stretch. Triton wasted no time giving its pitchers support, scoring five runs in the first inning and five more in the second to jump out to a 10-0 lead. The Trojans added four more in the third to put the game firmly in control. McFarland earned the win on the mound, throwing four no-hit innings while striking out seven. Prater finished the final inning, allowing no hits and striking out one to complete the shutout. Offensively, Triton collected 10 hits and had several players contribute throughout the lineup. Maddox Dennie went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs scored and two RBIs. Blake Ousley added two doubles and two RBIs, while Braxton Kaufman went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and an RBI.
