BOURBON — The Triton Junior High boys track team turned in a strong showing at home on Tuesday, April 14, finishing second in a three-team meet. Winamac won the meet with 62 points, followed by Triton with 54 and Culver with 21. Triton picked up several event wins on the evening, starting with Channing Heckaman in the 100-meter dash. Heckaman crossed first in 12.59, while teammate Chase Collins followed in second at 12.88. The Trojans also got a win from Jackson Richie in the 400-meter dash with a time of 60.56, then closed the meet with another victory in the 4x400 relay in 4:08.25. In the field events, Triton continued to score big. Jackson Richie won the discus with a throw of 106-5, while Chase Collins swept both jumping events by taking first in the long jump at 17-3 and the high jump at 5-2.
