PLYMOUTH -- The Triton boys varsity golf team opened their 2026 season Wednesday, April 15, with a runner-up finish in a three-team meet against Wawasee and Bremen on the front 9 of Swan Lake's Black Course. Wawasee posted the low team score of the day with a 179, while Triton followed with a 184. Bremen finished third at 227 on the par-36, 3,196-yard front nine. Wawasee was paced by medalist Hudson Cripe, who carded a 4-over-par 40 to lead all golfers. Jack Shoemaker added a 43 for the Warriors, while Cash Walter and Cam Reel each finished with 48s to round out the counting scores. Triton stayed within striking distance throughout the meet and was led by Gavin Riffle, who turned in a 43. Owen Waymouth followed with a 45, Landon Patrick shot 47, and Charlie Worsham added a 49 for the Trojans’ team total. Darrin King finished with a 57. Bremen’s top round came from Ethan Britton, who shot a 50. Ethan Borsodi and Henry Varner each recorded 58s, Miles Green finished with a 61, and Collin Loomis carded a 62.
