NOTE: We are still awaiting Triton's stats from the coach BOURBON — One night after an explosive offensive showing, Triton ran into a tough Rochester squad Tuesday and fell 21-0 in a non-conference matchup. The Zebras wasted no time taking control, erupting for 13 runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second to seize a commanding early lead. Rochester finished with 21 runs on 15 hits, while Triton was limited to just two hits on the evening. Rochester continued to apply pressure late, plating three additional runs in the fifth inning to cap the scoring. Triton was unable to generate a consistent offense against Rochester's pitching and did not push a run across the plate. Despite the result, Triton had a bright spot at the plate as Jada Bules reached base and continued her strong start to the season. Alicia Gonzales, coming off a two-home run performance the night before, also remained a key presence in the lineup. A trio of standout performances led Rochester’s offense. Aubrey Wilson powered the lineup, going 3-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored, while Jadyn Field added four hits, three runs, and two RBI. In the circle, Brailyn Hunter set the tone early, striking out six and allowing just one hit over two innings of work. The loss drops Triton to 1-1 on the season, while Rochester improves to 1-0 and extends its winning streak in the series to eight straight games.
