Tuesday, December 16, 2025 BOURBON, Ind. — Triton’s JV Boys turned a defensive standoff into a hard-fought victory Tuesday night, shutting out Bethany Christian in the final quarter for a 34–28 win. The Trojans survived a cold shooting night, leaning on a late defensive stand to separate themselves. After trailing 17–14 at halftime, Triton clamped down in the fourth quarter, handing the Bruins a goose egg to seal the game. Junior guard Blayze Hensley led Triton with 10 points, including a clutch performance at the free-throw line where the team shot 75% in the second half. Junior forward Colton Large also added 10 points and knocked down one of the team’s two three-pointers to provide much-needed offensive balance. Sophomore Max Johnson finished with 4 points and 3 rebounds, contributing to a Trojan defense that limited the Bruins to just 22% shooting in the second half. Freshman Justice Hensley and sophomore Levi McFarland each chipped in 2 points, while freshman Aaron Fuller added 2 points to the winning effort. Triton built momentum by turning defense into scoring opportunities, outscoring the Bruins 8–0 in the final period. The Trojans were particularly effective at the charity stripe late, finishing the game 10-for-14 on free throws to maintain their lead. Bethany Christian was led by Desmond Lind, who scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to record a double-double. Jonah Daly and Judah Miller each added 3 points for the Bruins. Despite Lind's dominant performance, the Bruins struggled to find a secondary scoring option, finishing the game with 17 turnovers and a scoring drought that lasted the entire fourth quarter. • TRITON 34, BETHANY CHRISTIAN 28 At The Trench TRITON: Blayze Hensley 2 5-6 10, Colton Large 4 1-2 10, Max Johnson 2 0-0 4, Justice Hensley 1 0-0 2, Levi McFarland 1 0-0 2, Aaron Fuller 1 0-2 2, Christian McIntosh 0 1-2 1, Maddux Holloway 0 3-1 1.
