Saturday, December 13, 2025 HUNTINGBURG, Ind. — The Triton Girls Varsity Wrestling team made the long trip to southern Indiana worthwhile this past weekend, turning in a strong performance at the Southridge Invitational and finishing sixth overall in a competitive 20-team field at Southridge High School. The tournament featured programs from across Indiana and Kentucky, creating a deep and challenging field. Triton rose to the occasion, accumulating 106 team points and edging Indianapolis Cathedral by a single point to secure sixth place overall. Southridge claimed the team title with 219.5 points, followed by Mt. Vernon and North Posey. Individually, the Lady Trojans were led by Bailey Nicely, who advanced to the finals and earned a second-place finish at 140 pounds. Andrea Ford also delivered a podium performance, placing third at 120 pounds. Triton consistently put wrestlers in scoring positions throughout the day, with multiple athletes reaching the podium and contributing valuable team points.
