Saturday, December 13, 2025 BOURBON — Triton’s JV girls saved their best basketball for the fourth quarter, but an early offensive drought proved too much to overcome as Elkhart Christian held on for a 34–27 win Saturday night at The Trench. The game opened as a grind, with both teams struggling to find rhythm. Triton matched Elkhart Christian punch-for-punch in the first quarter, ending the period tied at 6–6, but the Trojans went cold in the second, managing just two points as the Eagles edged ahead 15–8 at halftime. Elkhart Christian capitalized on turnovers throughout the night, scoring 18 points off turnovers and using that advantage to maintain separation. Despite the pressure, Triton showed resilience after the break, particularly in the fourth quarter when the Trojans outscored the Eagles 13–9 and cut the deficit to single digits. Freshman forward Addalyn Bailey delivered a strong all-around performance, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double while anchoring the interior on both ends. Tatum Hudson added 10 points, knocking down two second-half three-pointers that sparked Triton’s late push. Defensively, Triton limited Elkhart Christian to just 18.5 percent shooting from the field, including 8-of-31 from beyond the arc, but turnovers and missed opportunities at the free-throw line kept the Trojans chasing throughout the contest. Anna Meyer led Elkhart Christian with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Myla Hanlon and Hadley Hummer each chipped in six points. Though the final margin favored the Eagles, Triton’s fourth-quarter response showcased grit and growth, as the JV Lady Trojans continued to compete deep into the final horn. • ELKHART CHRISTIAN 34, TRITON 27 At Triton TRITON JV GIRLS: McKenna Emenaker 0 0-0 0, Audrey Borsa 0 0-0 0, Natalie Crooks 0 0-0 0, Tatum Hudson 4 0-0 10, Addalyn Bailey 7 1-2 15, Natalie Mevis 0 0-0 0, Beatriz Blanco 0 0-0 0, Avery Faulkner 1 0-0 2, Jada Bules 0 0-0 0.
