Friday, December 12, 2025 BOURBON, Ind. — Triton delivered a statement performance Friday night, exploding out of the gates and never letting up in a 68–35 dismantling of Pioneer in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play. The Trojans wasted no time asserting control, ripping off an 18–2 opening run and holding Pioneer to just five points in the first quarter. Triton’s defensive pressure forced hurried possessions and turnovers early, while the offense flowed freely on the other end. Senior guard Julian Swanson was electric, pouring in a game-high 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including five three-pointers. Swanson scored from all three levels and keyed Triton’s early separation, helping the Trojans build a 36–16 halftime lead. Brady Wood followed with a strong all-around night, finishing with 13 points and six rebounds, while Gage Riffle added 11 points, knocking down three shots from deep. Triton finished the night 10-of-27 from beyond the arc, stretching Pioneer’s defense and opening the paint for scoring chances inside. Defensively, Triton limited Pioneer to just 12 made field goals and forced 29 turnovers, turning those miscues into a staggering 44 points off turnovers. The Trojans also controlled the glass, winning the rebounding battle 27–24 and converting second-chance opportunities when needed. Pioneer struggled to generate consistent offense, with Gabriel Scott leading the Panthers with 10 points. Triton’s defensive rotations and ball pressure prevented Pioneer from stringing together momentum at any point in the contest. By the fourth quarter, Triton had stretched the margin past 30 and comfortably closed out one of its most complete performances of the season, showcasing balance, depth, and defensive intensity on the conference stage. The win also marked head coach Jason Groves' 350th career win.
