Saturday, December 6, 2025 DENVER, Ind. — In one of the grittiest performances of their season, the Triton varsity girls stormed back from a double-digit first-half deficit and delivered a clutch fourth quarter to edge North Miami 45–44 on Saturday night. The Trojans were ice-cold early, hitting just 4-of-24 shots in the first half and trailing 28–13 late in the second quarter. But Triton flipped the entire game after halftime, erupting for an 18-point third quarter and outscoring the Warriors 32–16 over the final two periods. Senior guard Sierra Hawley delivered the performance of her high school career, pouring in 20 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and picking off four steals while attacking the rim relentlessly. Her burst in the second half ignited Triton’s comeback and kept them within striking distance as the game tightened. Her sister, Savannah Hawley, recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds, including two critical offensive boards in the fourth quarter that extended possessions as Triton protected its narrow lead. Defensively, Triton clamped down on North Miami’s high-powered scoring duo. The Trojans held the Warriors to just 4-of-22 shooting in the second half and forced 21 turnovers overall. North Miami was led by Kayden Donaldson’s 15 points, but Triton’s interior defense limited her to 3-of-15 from the floor. Grace Sailors added 13 points and 14 rebounds, but the Warriors struggled from the perimeter, finishing just 2-for-19 from three. Triton sealed the win with late defensive stops, surviving a final North Miami possession in the closing seconds to secure the one-point victory. The Trojans improve to 4-3 while showing the kind of toughness and resilience that travels in conference play. • TRITON 45, NORTH MIAMI 44 At North Miami TRITON: Savannah Hawley 3 3-4 9, Sierra Hawley 8 4-8 20, Chloe McKinney 1 1-3 3, Mylie Groves 2 1-2 6, Avery Viers 1 2-6 4, Lydia Hammond 1 0-0 3, Beatriz Blanco 0 0-0 0, Tatum Hudson 0 0-0 0, Janika Kemp 0 0-0 0, Jillian Bules 0 0-0 0.
