Wednesday, December 3, 2025 BOURBON — Triton’s varsity girls battled through early scoring struggles and a barrage of LaVille perimeter shooting but couldn’t overcome the Lancers’ efficiency Wednesday night, falling 53–34 at The Trench. LaVille came out firing, hitting six three-pointers in the first half and building a 31–10 halftime lead. Triton worked to claw back into the game with a strong fourth quarter, posting 17 points behind more aggressive drives and better ball movement, but the early deficit proved too large as LaVille maintained control throughout. The Trojans were led by Sierra Hawley with seven points, while Avery Viers added seven more to go with five rebounds. Janika Kemp matched them with five points and provided defensive activity in the post. Savannah Hawley and Chloe McKinney each chipped in four. Triton shot just 22 percent from the field, and despite forcing 15 turnovers, couldn’t convert enough of its opportunities. LaVille’s balanced attack was guided by a breakout performance from Faith Mejer, who poured in 25 points—including five three-pointers—and grabbed 10 rebounds. Ava Weil added 16 points, and Denni Markin scored five while pulling down 10 boards.
