The old record of 45.03 held for 27 years (1996) and was set by Kimm Johnston, Tad Hayes, Jack Hackworth, and Jeff Rupe. - photos by Lisa Bemish BOURBON - FINALLY….Mother Nature shined on us and we had PERFECT WEATHER for the LAST Home Varsity Track & Field Meet of the season!! AND WOW WAS it a GREAT ONE!! So many records were set it’s hard to know where to start. Not One, but TWO Triton School Records were broken at this meet! The 4x100 Meter Relay Team of, Cole Irvine, Vinny Prater, Cam Callahan, and Javan May, set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 44.6 seconds. Breaking the OLD record of 45.03 set back in 1996!! Congratulations boys on breaking a school record that has stood for 27 years. Lets do it again at Conference!! Go TRITON!! Then Addyson Viers does it again and sets a new school record in Shot Put by throwing an outstanding 39’ 1”. Which is almost one foot farther than her record-breaking throw earlier this season. I believe that makes it her 3rd time breaking the school record in Shot Put!! Keep it going Addyson!!! Where do they go from here. If I had a guess, ONLY HIGHER!! HNAC is next week. The Boys and Girls Varsity Track teams have had an AMAZING Season this year. Lets all wish them best of luck next week.
