Tuesday, November 25, 2025 ROCHESTER, IN — The Triton girls wrestling team knew they were in for a challenge Tuesday night as they traveled to face the No. 13-ranked Rochester Zebras. Missing multiple athletes due to illness and injury and giving up several weight classes to forfeits, Triton entered the dual already at a disadvantage—and Rochester took full advantage, powering to a 54–24 victory. Four Triton wrestlers never got the chance to take the mat, as Rochester left several classes open, accounting for Triton’s only points of the night. In the six contested matches, Rochester swept the board, securing pins across the lineup. Despite the losses, Triton’s athletes battled hard against one of the state’s strongest squads. Andrea Ford (125), Brianna Lockhart (130), Gabrielle Ford (155), Jazmin Lemler (170), Saran Jones (190), and Caiti Gould (105) all stepped up to compete, but the Zebras’ depth and experience proved too much to overcome. Even with the full lineup, the outcome may not have been much different. Rochester continues to show why they’re considered one of Indiana’s premier programs, combining talent, conditioning, and aggressive mat strategy in every match.
