Tuesday, November 25, 2025 BOURBON, Ind. — A relentless first-half performance propelled the Triton Varsity Girls to a commanding 58–19 victory over South Bend Career Academy on Tuesday night at The Trench. After a slow opening stretch, Triton exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Trailblazers 28–3 behind smothering defense and fast-break execution. The Trojans forced turnovers on the perimeter and controlled the glass, turning steals and rebounds into transition points that quickly put the game out of reach. Savannah Hawley led the charge with 15 points, including a perfect 7-of-9 from the free throw line, while adding five rebounds. Freshman standout Tatum Hudson provided a spark off the bench, knocking down two threes on her way to eight points. Triton showcased balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with nine different players reaching the scorebook. Avery Viers added seven points and three rebounds inside, and Sierra Hawley contributed five points and six boards. The Trojans' bench proved to be a major factor, pouring in 22 points compared to just four from the visiting side. Defensively, Triton dominated the interior, holding Career Academy to just 7-of-49 shooting from the field and 3-of-14 from beyond the arc. The Trojans also recorded 30 defensive rebounds and forced 16 turnovers. Career Academy was led by Alana Wright with eight points, including two three-pointers.
