TC VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO INDIAN CREEK IN CONFERENCE BATTLE, JV WINS. The Triton Central volleyball team came up short Wednesday night on the road, falling 3-1 to Indian Creek in Hoosier Legends Conference action. The Braves edged the Tigers in a tight first set, 27-25, and followed it with a 25-21 win in the second. Triton Central responded with a strong 25-18 victory in the third, but Indian Creek closed the match by taking the fourth set 25-18. Addy Gibbs paced the Tigers at the net with eight kills and three solo blocks. Alaina Darlage anchored the defense with 19 digs, while Lucy May provided a spark from the service line with three aces. With the loss, Triton Central moves to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the HLC. In the junior varsity matchup, Triton Central claimed a straight-set win, 25-19, 25-13. Adyson Wright and Marcy Cord were dominant behind the line with five aces each, while Madison Swisher contributed six digs to lead the defense. The JV squad improved to 3-2 overall and stayed unbeaten in conference play at 2-0. Triton Central returns to action Saturday at the Hagerstown Invitational.
