TC CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT SHELBY COUNTY MEET. The Triton Central High School cross country teams competed over the weekend at Morristown’s Goble Invitational, which also served as the Shelby County Championship. Audrey Morris led the way for the Tigers on the girls’ side, earning a fourth-place finish in the Shelby County Championship competition. On the boys’ side, Jason P’Pool, Hudson Watson, and Luke Starost represented Triton Central well, finishing 12th, 14th, and 18th, respectively, in the county championship. The Tigers also saw continued improvement from several runners. P’Pool and Starost both recorded new personal records, with Starost making a particularly impressive jump by finishing more than one minute faster than his previous best time. With the season continuing to progress, the Tigers are gaining valuable experience while steadily improving their times. Triton Central cross country will return to action Saturday at Blue River Park for the Shelbyville Golden Bear Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9 AM.
