BOYS TENNIS VS. HAUSER (9/10)

TC BOYS TENNIS EARNS ROAD WIN AT HAUSER. Triton Central boys tennis bounced back with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Hauser Thursday night on the road. The win moves the Tigers to 8-4 on the season. Triton Central picked up two of its three team points in singles play. At No. 2 singles, Bradyn Robinson continued his strong season with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Hauser's Joel Bechtel. Drayton Kermode added another point at No. 3 singles, dominating Gradyon Kilps, 6-0, 6-1. Hauser earned its first point at No. 1 singles, where Jordan Nieberg defeated Brayden Hoover, 7-5, 6-2. The match came down to doubles, with the Tigers getting a crucial victory at No. 1 doubles. Graham Gast and Cash Eck battled past Brady Miller and Ty Wadsworth, 6-0, 3-6, 6-4, to give TC the team victory. Hauser's Curtis Kilps and Aiden Bense earned the No. 2 doubles point after Colton Ayres and Owen Rice retired with Hauser leading 4-1. JV Tigers Pick Up 4-2 Victory The Triton Central JV squad also came away with a victory, defeating Hauser 4-2 to improve to 4-4-1 on the season. Brylon Scott earned a 7-6(2) victory over Joey Oliver at No. 2 singles, while Robbie Brown delivered a dominant 6-0 shutout of Grayson Gomez at No. 4 singles. The Tigers also swept both doubles matches. Jason Gregory and Hyatt Watson defeated Jaycen Turner and Ethan Wiwi, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles before returning to the court for a 6-1 victory over Colin Bruner and Daegan Bauter at No. 2 doubles. Hauser picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, with Dane Richards defeating Scott, 6-4, and Ben Wiwi defeating Luke Dunn, 6-3. Both Triton Central teams will now turn their attention to tournament competition. The Tigers will compete in the Shelby County Tournament on Saturday at Morristown, with action scheduled to begin at 9 AM.
