TC VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TRI-WEST. The Triton Central volleyball team suffered its first Hoosier Legends Conference loss of the season Tuesday night, falling to Tri-West 3-0 on the road. Tri-West controlled the opening set, taking a 25-11 victory. The Tigers battled back in the second set but ultimately fell 25-22 before Tri-West closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the third set. Alaina Darlage led Triton Central defensively with 15 digs, while Kate Collier paced the offense with eight kills. Savanna Plew had a strong night at the net, recording six solo blocks. Collier and Anna Kemper each contributed an ace, while Kemper finished with 19 assists. The loss moves the varsity Tigers to 8-4 overall and 4-1 in HLC play. The TC JV squad also fell to Tri-West, dropping a 2-0 decision. The Tigers lost the opening set 25-11 before putting up a stronger fight in the second set, falling 25-22. Ryn West led the JV offense with five kills, while Ella Weaver recorded nine assists. Kaylynn Alexander contributed eight digs, and Zoey Jenkins and Brenli Reguli each recorded two aces. The JV Tigers are now 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the HLC. Triton Central will look to bounce back Thursday night when the Tigers return home to host New Palestine. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, with the varsity match to follow.
