TC VOLLEYBALL REMAINS UNBEATEN IN HLC PLAY WITH SWEEP OF MONROVIA. The Triton Central volleyball team continued its strong start to the 2026 season Tuesday night, earning a 3-0 road sweep over Monrovia in a Hoosier Legends Conference matchup. The Tigers opened the match with a 25-20 victory before taking control in the second set, 25-15. TC then closed out the sweep with a 25-16 win in the third set. Kate Collier led the Tigers with nine kills and 11 digs, providing a strong all-around performance. Anna Kemper and Savanna Plew each recorded two solo blocks, while Kemper also directed the offense with 20 assists. Plew added five aces from the service line. With the victory, Triton Central improves to 7-3 overall and remains perfect in HLC play at 3-0. The TC JV squad also remained unbeaten in conference play, defeating Monrovia 2-0. The Tigers dominated the opening set 25-6 before Monrovia pushed TC in the second set. Triton Central ultimately prevailed 27-25 to complete the sweep. Addy Wright turned in a standout performance for the JV Tigers, recording six kills and an impressive 10 aces. Ella Weaver finished with nine assists, while Maecy Cord contributed six digs. The JV victory moves Triton Central to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the HLC. The Tigers will now prepare for another HLC matchup next Thursday night when they travel to Shelbyville. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, with the varsity match to follow. Triton Central will look to continue its unbeaten conference start when it takes on the Golden Bears.
