TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS BEECH GROVE TO REMAIN UNBEATEN IN HLC. Triton Central volleyball continued its unbeaten start in Hoosier Legends Conference play Tuesday night, sweeping Beech Grove 3-0. The Tigers controlled the varsity match from start to finish, opening the night with a dominant 25-8 victory in the first set. TC kept the momentum going with a 25-12 win in the second before completing the sweep with a 25-10 victory in the third set. Lucy May led the Triton Central attack with nine kills, while Anna Kemper directed the offense with 19 assists. Addy Gibbs was a force at the net with four solo blocks, while Kate Collier contributed 13 digs. Alaina Darlage helped the Tigers from the service line with five aces. The victory improves Triton Central to 5-3 overall and a perfect 2-0 in HLC play. The TC JV squad also turned in a strong performance, sweeping Beech Grove 2-0. The JV Tigers won the opening set 25-14 before closing out the match with a 25-13 victory in the second set. Ryn West, Brenli Reguli and Kenzie Hoover each recorded three kills to lead a balanced TC attack. West and Aisla Rush each added a solo block, while Hoover recorded four aces. Ella Weaver finished with five assists, and Ella Tupper contributed five digs. The JV Tigers improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in HLC play. Triton Central will have a quick turnaround as the Tigers return to action Wednesday night on the road at North Decatur. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM, with the varsity match to follow.
