TC BOYS SOCCER BEATS INDIAN CREEK IN HLC OPENER. The Triton Central boys soccer team opened Hoosier Legends Conference play in impressive fashion Thursday night, shutting out Indian Creek, 5-0, at home. The Tigers came out strong and found the back of the net five times on their way to a convincing conference-opening victory. Evan Mitchell led the way offensively with two goals, while Beau Nentrup, Chase Weidner, and Garrett Mohr each added a goal. Defensively, Triton Central was just as impressive, keeping Indian Creek off the scoreboard for the full match and earning a clean-sheet victory. With the win, the Tigers improve to 1-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Hoosier Legends Conference. The TC JV squad also picked up a victory Thursday, defeating Indian Creek 1-0. Garrett Mohr scored the lone goal for the Tigers, while the TC defense preserved the shutout. The JV Tigers improve to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in HLC play. Triton Central will return to action Monday when the Tigers travel to Oldenburg for a 5:30 PM kickoff.
