TC BOYS TENNIS ROLL PAST HERITAGE CHRISTIAN. Triton Central boys tennis continued its unbeaten start to the 2026 season Thursday night, traveling to Heritage Christian and coming away with a 4-1 victory. The win moves the Tigers to 3-0 on the season. Triton Central dominated singles play, sweeping all three matches in straight sets. At No. 1 singles, Brayden Hoover defeated Heritage Christian's Konnor Groome, 6-2, 6-2. Bradyn Robinson continued his impressive start to the season at No. 2 singles, shutting out Bo McVey, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Drayton Kermode added another point for the Tigers with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Tate Getz. With the three singles wins, TC had already secured the team victory. The Tigers' No. 1 doubles team of Graham Gast and Colton Ayres also came through in a competitive three-set battle. Gast and Ayres defeated Cooper Klopfenstein and Henry Morgan, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Heritage Christian earned its lone point at No. 2 doubles, where Mason Weathers and Jude Young edged Owen Rice and Cash Eck, 5-7, 7-5, 7-5, in a marathon match. JV Battles Heritage Christian to Tie The Triton Central JV squad also remained unbeaten, battling Heritage Christian to a 2-2 tie. The Tigers are now 2-0-1 on the season. Brylon Scott picked up TC's first point with an 8-3 victory over Mason Watt at No. 1 singles. In doubles action, Luke Dunn and Robbie Brown earned an 8-5 victory over Dillon Agre and Derek King at No. 3 doubles. Heritage Christian took the other two matches, with Liam Daubenmire and Liam Knapp defeating Scott and Jason Gregory, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles, while Calvin Atkins and Camden Elliot edged AJ Wittman and Hyatt Watson, 8-7(7), at No. 2 doubles. The Tigers will be back in action at the Connersville Invitational on Saturday, with play scheduled to begin at 10 AM.
