TC GIRLS SOCCER EARN FIRST WIN, TOP INDIAN CREEK IN HLC OPENER. The Triton Central girls soccer team picked up its first win of the season Wednesday night, defeating Indian Creek 3-1 in the Tigers' home and Hoosier Legends Conference opener. Triton Central came out strong and took a 1-0 lead into halftime behind a goal from junior Rylee Pruitt. Indian Creek answered early in the second half, finding the back of the net to even the match at 1-1. The Tigers wasted little time responding, as Pruitt scored her second goal of the night just seconds after the Braves' equalizer to put TC back in front, 2-1. Sophomore Maddie Burnett added an insurance goal later in the second half, giving the Tigers a 3-1 advantage and helping secure the conference victory. With the win, Triton Central improves to 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in HLC play. The Tigers will look to build on the momentum Thursday when they travel to Southport. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
